Do you love seek and find books? If so, this one is an absolute MUST!
THE BEAR’S SONG, by Benjamin Chaud, is one of those beautiful stories that can sweep you away with its intricate — and often humorous — illustrations.
Think Where’s Waldo, though exchange the beloved red and white shirt donning, glasses wearing man for an adorable little bear, and add in a sweet story to boot. In THE BEAR’S SONG, by Benjamin Chaud, Papa Bear is desperate to find his baby cub who has run off to chase a bee — because where there are bees, there is honey. The baby cub’s quest leads the two bears to the opera house, where Papa Bear’s song has quite the unintended consequences. Though the premise is simple, the pictures are lush and detailed.
Bo is at the age where it is still sometimes challenging to get him to sit quietly with me at bedtime, so we score big with interactive books. And THE BEAR’S SONG has a seek and find on every page, with little eyes eager to find the baby cub amidst the beautiful illustrations.
Couple these illustrations — beginning in a forest and ending on a roof top high above the streets of Paris– with a tender story depicting a parent’s unbridled devotion for his child, and the result is a delightfully engaging (and enchanting!) read.
