A top notch self-esteem book for kids!
Pat Zeitlow Miller is on a roll these days, first bringing us the stunning Be Kind, and now bringing us a pretty phenomenal self esteem book for kids. Children struggle with self confidence on a regular basis, no matter how old or young they may be. I watch my oldest son worry when he doesn’t feel as fast on the field as the other kindergarten boys, as good at handwriting as some of his friends, or when he thinks something is wrong with him because he is the only one in his class who hasn’t lost a tooth. It’s a hard concept to teach, but the help of a good book makes it so much easier. Pat Zeitlow Miller and Patrice Barton’s collaboration in Remarkably You is an absolute dream for parents and educators!
Remarkably You is an ode to children that details all of the ways in which each of us is remarkable. In rhyming, pitch perfect versus, it conveys to kids that each of us walks to the beat of our own drum – we are all wondrous, we each have special talents and we are all so perfectly unique! Remarkably You perfectly imparts that these unique attributes are ones to celebrate, and no matter who we are or what we do, each of us has the ability to make a difference in our world!
We just adore this book, and there is nothing better than its message that the world needs each and every one us, and each and every one of our talents. There are so many ways for kids to be talented, ways that young children don’t always recognize if their talents don’t translate to the academic world. But Remarkably You, with its diverse illustrations of beautiful children, tells us to step away from the sidelines and let our awesome skills shine, no matter what they are! Inspiring, empowering, and poignant at the same time, Remarkably You is one of our new favorite self esteem books for kids because of the way it honors each and every child’s remarkably unique abilities. Zeitlow Miller has a knack for bringing comfort and joy to children through her gentle stories, and we have no doubt this will be getting two trunks up from kids and adults for years to come.
